[...] Harper Voyager Australia has an awesome competition on right now – review any book my Raymond E. Feist and let them know about it by 15 May, and you could win a years’ supply of Voyager books. The first three books of the Magician trilogy have been sitting on my shelves for ages, and this is exactly the kind of motivation I need! You can find out more about the competition here.
Well I'm cheering for Winter Be My Shield. A book that generally hasn't received nearly as much attention as it deserves. I'm very much looking forward to book 2 in a few months.

I haven't read or heard much about The Rook, but reading the blurb just now I may have to check it out.

Well I suppose that's a movie I don't have to worry too much abut getting around nod to see. I disagree bat the Wicked books though. I've only read the first one, but I found it terribly sexist in the sections from Glinda's point of view. It was like the author had observed teenaged girls but didn't really believe they were real people on the inside.

The musical was better (just) except for the ending and, well, the music (I thought the Glee version of Defying Gravity utterly kicked the stage soundtrack's butt. At being melodically memorable).
